Thank you for keeping us busy this summer. We've been cheering you on as you've run in your underwear, pedaled around lakes, swung many a golf club and tried a triathlon. The Alberta Cancer Foundation is privileged to be the beneficiary of more than 400 events each year, and many of them take place in the summer months. So in this progress report, we wanted to show you a small sample of the events that helps us invest more than $28 million a year into care, prevention, screening and research across this province.

As you know, devastating floods hit southern Alberta on June 21, causing us to postpone our biggest fundraiser, the Enbridge Ride to Conquer Cancer until August 10-11. We are looking forward to seeing so many riders, volunteers and crew in this epic two-day 200-km adventure that raises invaluable funds for cancer research and care in this province.

Thanks again for being such powerful parts of Alberta's cancer-free movement and enjoy the rest of your summer.

Myka Osinchuk, Chief Executive Officer, Alberta's Cancer Free Movement
