ABOUT THE MARATHON
The Goal of the Dierk Ramabli Soccer Marathon is to play 12hours of non-stop soccer to raise awareness and funds for the cancer patients and treatment centers of Alberta. Anyone over the age of 6 can play and all skill levels are encouraged! We hope to see people with experience as well as those who have never before played soccer and are certain that no matter what your age or fitness level - you will enjoy your time on the pitch! It’s a fun, non competitive event geared towards families, teams and individuals of all age ranges. So why not challenge your friends, colleagues and team members to play and collect pledges for 1 hour of play at what ever time works best for you!

ABOUT DIERK RAMBALI
The idea for the marathon sprouted from the tragic passing of soccer enthusiast Dierk Rambali. Dierk was an avid soccer player, coach, referee, and dear friend who fell ill and succumbed to pancreatic cancer in 2009. His love for the sport and intense struggle with his disease inspired us to try and draw attention to both causes...and so the Dierk Rambali Soccer Marathon was born! Now in our second year we hope to raise over $8,500 and beat our total from last year!
