Cash and Cars Lottery 2012

Thanks to people like you we ARE making progress! More than 600 Albertans survive each year who would not have survived had they developed cancer 25 years ago. The survival rate for all cancers has nearly doubled in the last 40 years. More than 50 new cancer research projects were launched last year in addition to the hundreds receiving ongoing funding.

Since 2000, Cash & Cars & More Lottery has supported Alberta’s two largest cancer-fighting organizations: the Alberta Cancer Foundation and the Canadian Cancer Society, Alberta/NWT Division.

To date, the Lottery has raised more than $21.5 million for cancer research, prevention, screening, treatment and support programs for people living right here in Alberta. Funding seven support and 17 treatment centres, the Cash & Cars & More Lottery ensures patients and their families receive the best possible treatment and care in communities throughout the province. These funds are used to educate and support cancer patients and their families from diagnosis to treatment and throughout their journey.
