U of A Engineering Annual Head Shave 2025

Since 2003, the University of Alberta Engineering Students’ Society has raised more than $405,000 for the Alberta Cancer Foundation with our annual Engineering Head Shave event. This year, we hope to raise an additional $10,000 to change the lives of Albertans and their family’s facing cancer.
The University of Alberta Engineering Head Shave dates back to 2003 when Ron Wicentowich, father of Gary and Graeme Wicentowich (Electrical Engineering 2006, Mechanical Engineering 2008) was diagnosed with cancer and passed away on February 11, 2004.
