5 Ways Your Donation to the Enbridge Ride to Conquer Cancer Made a Difference

This year, we celebrate the epic 10th annual Enbridge Ride to Conquer Cancer, benefiting the Alberta Cancer Foundation. Since its launch in 2009, it has raised more than $60 million for the Alberta Cancer Foundation. Here are some real examples of how dollars raised from the Ride have made a difference for Albertans and their families facing cancer.

Clinical Trials

Alberta has more patients enrolled in clinical trials than the national average, and participation is now more accessible. This means access to life-saving treatment years before it would otherwise be available.

Advanced Imaging

The first of its kind in western Canada, the PET-MR is an imaging technology that will allow researchers to provide more precise therapy for each patient.

Patient Financial Assistance

No patient should have to choose between groceries or treatment options during their cancer journey. The Ride helps provide patients with access to financial support when they need it most.

Enhancing Patient Care

Comfortable treatment chairs, blanket warmers, improved waiting rooms and patient-education resources are made possible through Ride funds.

Brain Cancer

Breakthroughs Ride funds have supported a team of scientists in Alberta who are working to identify new drug combinations for the most common form of brain cancer. As a result, patient life expectancy has been extended.
