Edmonton, AB – With its largest prize ever, the 2026 Alberta Cancer Foundation Lottery launches today, giving ticket buyers a chance to live like a millionaire while also supporting essential cancer programs and research in their own backyard.
This year’s lottery is packed with 900+ prizes worth more than $4 million, the most lucrative prize pool in the lottery’s history. The Grand Prize winner can choose between three multimillion-dollar options – an Edmonton estate home package valued at $2.3 million (including $500,000 cash), a $2.9 million estate in Calgary, or $2 million in tax-free cash. Every ticket purchased makes a direct impact, supporting cancer research, care, and patient support programs right here in Alberta.

The Alberta Cancer Foundation is the official fundraising partner for all Alberta cancer centres. For more than 20 years, ticket purchases for the lottery have directly aided patient support programs, enhanced care and funded groundbreaking clinical trials in Alberta, helping advance new treatments and bringing hope to patients who have run out of options.
Former Edmonton operating room nurse highlights decades of cancer care progress through family’s journey
For Amanda Garcia, supporting cancer care has been a lifelong journey. Her connection began 25 years ago when her mother was diagnosed with lymphoma, undergoing aggressive surgery and radiation. The experience inspired Garcia to pursue nursing, eventually fulfilling a dream to work as an operating room nurse alongside the surgeon who saved her mother’s life.
Today, Garcia works as a healthcare case manager, helping patients navigate benefits while also supporting her mother-in-law Carol, who was diagnosed with breast cancer last fall. Through her family’s experiences and years in the operating room, Garcia has witnessed a dramatic shift in cancer treatment.
“I’ve watched the progression, from how aggressive early treatments were to watching the technology evolve and change through research,” says Garcia. “It has shifted the direction of cancer care in Alberta, and I’m forever grateful to the Foundation for driving that progress over the years.”
These donor-supported advancements directly improve patient care and quality of life for people living with cancer across Alberta. Garcia is encouraging Albertans to support the Alberta Cancer Foundation Lottery, which funds innovative research, medical technology, and vital patient support programs at facilities like Edmonton’s Cross Cancer Institute.
2026 Alberta Cancer Foundation Lottery features 900+ prizes valued at more than $4 million
Along with the Grand Prize options valued up to $2.9 million, this year’s lineup includes an outdoor camping package featuring a 2026 Jayco Jay Flight Trailer paired with a 2026 Ford F-150 as the Bonus prize, and a 2026 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible as the Early Bird prize. Winners of major prizes, vehicles and vacation packages can choose a cash alternative instead. Ticket buyers also have a chance to win an exclusive experience: a five-day fishing getaway to Cree Lake Lodge with CCMA Award-winning country artist Brett Kissel.
Beyond the main prizes, two separate ticketed cash draws are also available. The 50/50 draw features a jackpot that can grow up to $5 million. Plus, a Win Cash Daily draw offers 100 days of cash prizes, totaling $460,000. Tickets purchased early remain eligible for every draw, with winners announced each day from August 12 to December 2.
